While the first part of the year at Five Aspects Ministries was full of preparations and implementation of our journey into the homeschool and Christian school world, the second part of our year has been much quieter and home based. Emily and I have been working hard at the office. Emily takes care of the day-to-day tasks. She answers the phone and takes care of the emails. She keeps the books and ships all the orders. She is doing a great job, and we love her.
I, Kristine, have been working on two book projects for the last half of the year. The next bible study that we hope to release in early 2025 is called, Men, Women & Marriage: Seven Biblical Principles. Men, Women & Marriage is based on the basic structure of our previous book, Seven Principles of Sexuality. However, Men, Women & Marriage is a full-fledged Bible study that can be used for individual or group study. It is specifically designed to be able to be used for individual study, for couples, for men’s groups, for women’s groups, and for mixed groups. The study consists of seven four-part lessons. Honestly, this study will be a great way to introduce people to biblical sexuality and prepare them to do the more in-depth studies of Five Aspects of Man and Five Aspects of Women. I am excited about the potential of this study!
I have also been working with Barbara on a new work titled, Clothed by God: Body and Spirit. Back in 2012 Barbara taught a conference titled: Clothing Body and Spirit. For a time, we kept the conference outline and notes available on our website. However, I have been working to adapt this conference material into a bible study. The new Clothed by God: Body and Spirit is the second in our Thematic Bible Study series after Seasons of God—Spirals of Life. Clothed by God: Body and Spirit is a ten week bible study that will also be released in the first quarter of 2025.
Update on Barbara Mouser:
Barbara is doing well. I make it a priority to go and visit with Barbara in person as much as possible. This year, I have made it to Waxahachie about once a quarter. Barbara is active in the lives of all her daughters and her extended family. Another grandchild, a granddaughter, was added to the fold in November making her grandkid count now nine. Concerning writing and ministry, Barbara is actively learning what it means for her to be a widow, a mother of adult children, and a grandmother. At the forefront of her mind and ministry is how to minister to the needs of her family. Barbara is, by design, a Bible teacher who is very skilled at curriculum development. The ministry that she is engaged in with her grandchildren—her school of Bible, is not only a delight to hear about, but it is a work that I believe will yield dividends in the future. We hope to compose some works that come out of this season of her life. I cannot tell you the timeline or even the title of anything yet, but great things are coming together there.
Most people who follow Five Aspects Ministries do so because of the lasting influence the works of William and Barbara Mouser have had on their lives. While Bill has gone on to be with the Lord, Barbara remains here with us, and we here at Five Aspects Ministries love her and honor her. In truth, she is our number one priority. For this reason, I want our faithful donors to know that your financial gifts are being used to support Barbara in this season of her life, and they will continue to be used in this manner.
Five Aspects of Man in Romania
This past October, Steve Ramey, one of the faithful board members for Five Aspects Ministries, made it over to Romania to meet with the men from a ministry called Edictum Dei, who are currently translating Five Aspects of Man into Romanian. This ministry contacted us earlier this year and asked us if they could translate our Bible studies. With much excitement and prayer, the board approved, and I worked hard to get them started on the process. Our request was that they begin with the Five Aspects of Man materials. What we didn’t expect was that Steve was going to get to go over to Romania and actually meet the team working on the translation! While it is indeed a small world, we serve an immeasurably magnificent God. We are encouraged and edified by this project that is now well underway.
Five Aspects of Masculinity for Young Men and Five Aspects of Femininity for Young Women in Spanish
Also in translation news, our friend Mónica Sernatinger, a long-term missionary to Mexico, is working with her brother-in-law, Fernando, on the project to translate Five Aspects of Masculinity for Young Men and Five Aspects of Femininity for Young Women into Spanish. Both Monica and Fernando long to see these works in Spanish. Monica has worked with Five Aspects Ministries before on the Spanish translation of Seven Principles of Sexuality. We are looking forward to working with both Monica and Fernando to complete this project that has recently started. It is our sincere hope and prayer to see more of our works translated into Spanish and deployed to reach more people with the truth of the gospel and the truth that it brings to bear on our sexuality.
We here at Five Aspects Ministries wish you all a very blessed advent season as we worship our Lord Jesus Christ in thanksgiving for His first advent, when He put on flesh and dwelt among us. I pray peace over you and your families. I pray that the Lord will be glorified in your lives and that the Gospel will continue to be proclaimed in this crazy world, and that the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit would work wonders in us this holiday season to magnify His holy name.
Because He lives,
Kristine Vermillion
