Celebrating with the Vermillion Family in May at the Mouser Home

A Season of Big Transitions Comes to a Close

Five Aspects Ministries (FAM) has undergone several big transitions in the last two years.

  • Bill has retired from the pastorate.

  • Aspects offices have moved from the Chapel to the Mouser and Perry homes.

  • The Mousers have downsized to their retirement home in the heart of Waxahachie.

  • The Francesca Chapel has been sold to another Anglican church.

We are very grateful for God’s grace and enablement in all these transitions.

Bill’s Cancer Has Recurred

Bill and Barbara on their 40th anniversary earlier this year

Just as we were settling in our new domicile, we had an exciting trip to the ER which finally resulted in a diagnosis of recurrent leukemia. It seems Bill’s specific leukemia was not correctly diagnosed during his first bout with cancer three years ago. Now it has been determined that he has a rare and more serious leukemia.  He has undergone two cycles of five-day continuous infusions of chemo at UT Southwestern in Dallas and will be hospitalized for another cycle July 12. After that, there will be an evaluation.

In the meantime, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers on his behalf. Amazingly, he has felt very well during these powerful infusions and his blood counts remain surprisingly high. Needless to say, the prayers of our extended Aspects family will be greatly appreciated as we travel in this new part of the pilgrimage.

(For those of you who would like to receive Bill’s updates on his progress, write him at Rivilian@gmail.com.)

Moving Aspects Ministries Forward

All these transitions (except the cancer!) result in a more simplified life for the Mousers, opening a window for the Mousers to focus on a new season of productivity for this ministry. Bill and Barbara have been involved in Bible teaching and gender-focused ministries for decades. They have a backlog of wisdom and content that is still very relevant (perhaps more relevant than ever). It is their purpose and prayer to push a lot of this material “out the door” through publishing and other avenues in coming days and years.

Introducing Kristine Vermillion,
Editor for Aspects Ministries

Kristine Vermillion, New Editor at Aspects Ministries

To help expand our publishing output, Aspects Ministries is hiring Kristine Vermillion as a part-time editor. Kristine is superbly qualified for this work. Deeply committed to Scripture and thematic Bible study, Kristine has been actively involved with Aspects as a student and teacher for the past 20 years. With a background in nursing and literature, she completed her Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in May of this year. Kristine is a wife and the mother of three. She lives in the Houston area where she helps with the family business and enjoys her garden. Her skill in language, theology, and especially her oneness of mind with the Mousers makes her a most welcome addition to our team.

Praises and Petitions

  1. The Mousers are deeply grateful to God for bringing us through all the transitions mentioned above. The sale of the Chapel was especially supernatural.

  2. Please pray for God’s grace and peace to be upon Bill as he undergoes extraordinary cancer treatments and for God’s healing according to His timing and will.

  3. Pray for those working on the Aspects team to build up some momentum in editing and publishing a new body of material for our embattled time.
